Product / Visitors & alerts

See who's on-site, right now.

Visitors & alerts puts everyone on the map: expected visitors are invited ahead of time, people on-site appear live via GPS, and anyone entering an exclusion zone gets an alert — with acknowledgement and escalation.

01 / Before arrival

Visitors arrive already knowing the plan.

Schedule expected visitors and SitePilot sends the invite: the live plan, site access and emergency information, one tap away — before they've reached the gate.

  • Expected-visitor schedulinginvite by SMS or email
  • Site access infogate, parking, induction requirements up front
  • Emergency infomuster points and contacts, always current
02 / On-site

A live map of people, not just plant.

People on-site appear on the plan via GPS in their browser — no app to install. Site managers see the picture in real time; visitors see their own position against routes and zones.

  • Live GPS mapeveryone who's opted in, in real time
  • Self-positioningvisitors see where they are on the plan
  • Visitor analyticsarrivals, movements, patterns over time
03 / The moment it matters

Alerts with teeth: acknowledge, or escalate.

Cross into an exclusion or restricted zone and the alert fires — to the person and to supervision. Acknowledgement is tracked; no response escalates. Project-boundary alerts catch people outside the site envelope entirely.

  • Exclusion-zone alertsinstant, with acknowledgement
  • Escalationunacknowledged alerts go up the chain
  • Project-boundary alertsthe whole site is a geofence

FAQ

Visitors & alerts questions

Do visitors need to install an app for GPS?

No. Live positioning runs in the browser with the visitor's permission — the same no-app, no-login viewer used for plans.

What happens if someone ignores an alert?

Alerts require acknowledgement. If none comes, the alert escalates to supervision automatically — the event and its handling are both recorded.

Is location tracking always on?

No — positioning is permission-based and active only while the visitor has the plan open. It's a safety tool, not surveillance.

Can I see who was on-site last Tuesday?

Yes — visitor analytics keep arrival and presence records, useful for both coordination and incident review.
